SoyCon 8 Cosplay – Island Paradise
What happens when you bring Anime lovers together for fun, food and festivities? SoyCon!!! After 8 years, Soycon, the largest cosplay gathering in the Mid-west is kicking butt and taking names! SO much fun! Anime cosplayers around the Midwest converged at SoyCon 8 on 18-19 July, 2015 to celebrating cosplay, Anime, fun, friendship and each other.
Love for cosplay extends to many other areas of cosplayers lives, forging deep relationships and tight-knit groups. Celebrating these ties that bind brings midwest Anime cosplayers closer year after year. Rumor has it next year’s event might be held around July and the 2016 SoyCon may be held inside – sweet!
Soycon 8 Events
Lip-Sync battles, foam sword fights, Karaoke, water balloon fight, interpretive dance central, cosplay contest & showcase, Super Smash Bros Tourney, dodgeball, beach combing, Luau party, danganronpa and group or individual photos – Soycon had it all!
Definitely join the Facebook group and come next year! All are welcome! The group is friendly, non-judging and fantastic cosplayers! Lots of love here!
