Stir the Pot Saturday: Week 13

Week 13 Picture 1

Welcome back, everyone! Just a quick reminder of what our goal for each and every Saturday is: Stirring the pot is the act of causing trouble for the sake of your own amusement. So we here at Comic Booked would like to formally invite you to discuss, debate, and start some shit talkin’ about the characters, the creators, and the storylines given to us from the industry we all know and love, hate, and love to hate. So let’s quit wasting time and start the mud (or web) slinging!

This Saturday’s question: Who would make the cut for your superhero (or villain) dream team?

Week 13 Picture 2

Would you compose a team of Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, and the Scarlet Witch? If you had to choose only women or only men, could you make yourself care on a monthly basis? How about the Justice League, are their ranks too small or too large? Given the chance, would you put Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern on the same team as Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage? Do you think the Joker, Bullseye, Deadpool, Sabretooth, and Vandal Savage would play nice for very long? Or do you think teams are dumb and just want Batman to fight everyone single-handedly?

Week 13 Picture 3

So go forth and debate! But be sure to back up your responses. Don’t be scared. And don’t give up. After all, no one likes a quitter. And you’re not a quitter, are you?

Most of my favorite characters aren't 'team players' I'll have to think about this one!

I love team books. I read Justice League but I don't read the solo titles. Same goes for Avengers. And X-men. And Fantastic Four (not really a solo title), but you get my point. The only solo title I read is really Batman and Spider-Man. But I have dabbled in Action Comics, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Animal Man, but don't buy consistently.

As an X-Fan, it’s already difficult enough putting a dream team of mutants together, much less a dream team comprised possibly of superheroes from different books, companies, etc! As far as existing teams go, I feel the Justice League comes closest to a group of characters that I love seeing work together (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc) and that’s coming from a Marvel reader so that says a lot!

Cyclops, Invisble Woman, current Hulk, Magneto, Wasp, Psylocke, Dr. Strange, Ares

Bartman, Moon Knight, Wolverine, Scarlet Spider, Luke Cage, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Hawgirl
