Stir the Pot Saturday: Week 31

Week 31 Picture 1

Welcome back, everyone! Just a quick reminder of what our goal for each and every Saturday is: Stirring the pot is the act of causing trouble for the sake of your own amusement. So we here at Comic Booked would like to formally invite you to discuss, debate, and start some shit talkin’ about the characters, the creators, and the storylines given to us from the industry we all know and love, hate, and love to hate. So let’s quit wasting time and start the mud (or web) slinging!

This Saturday’s question: Who is your favorite Avenger?

Week 31 Picture 2

The star-spangled Avenger and Sentinel of Liberty, Captain America? Archer and wise-cracker, Hawkeye? Billionaire playboy philanthropist and hero, Iron Man? Bruce Banner and his alter-ego, the Incredible Hulk? Sexy super-secret spy, the Black Widow? How about Magneto’s twins, on-again off-again villains and heroes, the Scarlet Witch and her brother Quicksilver? Simon Williams, the actor and hero known as Wonder Man? Carol Danvers, the hero sometimes known as Ms. Marvel, Warbird, Binary, and Captain Marvel? How about relative new additions (known more popularly as the New Avengers) such as fan-favorite and seemingly loner-types like Spider-Man, Luke Cage, or Wolverine? Or is your favorite Avenger someone else entirely?

Week 31 Picture 3

So go forth and debate! But be sure to back up your responses. Don’t be scared. And don’t give up. After all, no one likes a quitter. And you’re not a quitter, are you?

Sadly the best Avenger is currently on probation and probably doesn't care. But that's why he's Superior.

Seriously, though, I would probably have to say Spider-Man because he's Spider-Man as well as Luke Cage because it was his time in the New Avengers that made him an awesome character. As far as classic Avengers go.. Captain America for sure!

I will agree that putting Luke Cage on the Avengers roster definitely changed his character for the better. It'll be interesting to see if/when Spidey (Otto or Peter) makes his return. And Cap, of course, is a classic.

For some strange reason, I'll always be partial to Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. And Wonder Man… even though he's been ruined quite a few times. He always seems to bounce back, though.
