Stir the Pot Saturday: Week 35

Week 35 Picture 1

Welcome back, everyone! Just a quick reminder of what our goal for each and every Saturday is: Stirring the pot is the act of causing trouble for the sake of your own amusement. So we here at Comic Booked would like to formally invite you to discuss, debate, and start some shit talkin’ about the characters, the creators, and the storylines given to us from the industry we all know and love, hate, and love to hate. So let’s quit wasting time and start the mud (or web) slinging!

This Saturday’s question: How do you store your comics?

Week 35 Picture 2

Comic boxes? Trunks or footlockers? Shoe boxes? Bookshelves? Dresser drawers? Custom-made storage units? Comic book bins? Stacks? Or something completely different? The only thing more difficult than collecting comic books is finding out where to put them once your collection grows out of control…

Week 35 Picture 3

So go forth and debate! But be sure to back up your responses. Don’t be scared. And don’t give up. After all, no one likes a quitter. And you’re not a quitter, are you?

Collection Drawer Boxes is what I use. I have 21 longboxes in the space of 7. I am going to be adding 5 more soon and I can't wait! I love how I can stack them and still have full access to my comics.

I used to do footlocker trunks, which were the perfect size (four rows, perfect height, could leave them open for display or close them for safety), but once I started stacking them because I was running out of room, I invested in the cardboard official comic book boxes that Diamond offers. Best decision I've ever made. Stacking is easier, and I can actually get to my comics when I want to reference something from my back issue collection.
