Super Sunday: Superman in April 2017

SuperSunday

Happy Super Sunday everyone!  After the epic finale to “Reborn,” the Superman titles are still going strong.  But we’ve got a mixed bag on TV for the Superman-related shows.  Powerless was unfairly cancelled early (not even airing the last two episodes of the season, it would appear) but Supergirl is still great in all the right ways.  Anywho, here are my reviews of all the Superman-related releases for the month of April:

Justice League #18 – My Rating: 4/5

Superman #20 – My Rating: 5/5

DC Comics Bombshells #25 – My Rating: 4/5

Powerless 1.7: “Van v Emily: Dawn of Justice” – My Rating: 4/5

Red Hood and the Outlaws #9 – My Rating: 5/5

Action Comics #977 – My Rating: 5/5

New Super-Man #10 – My Rating: 4/5

Supergirl #8 – My Rating: 4/5

Super Powers #6 (of 6) – My Rating: 4.5/5

Powerless 1.8: “Green Furious” – My Rating: 4/5

Justice League #19 – My Rating: 4/5

Superman #21 – My Rating: 5/5

Super Sons #3 – My Rating: 5/5

Superwoman #9 – My Rating: 3.5/5

Trinity #8 – My Rating: 4/5

Powerless 1.9: “Emergency Punch-Up” – My Rating: 4/5

Justice League of America #5 – My Rating: 5/5

Suicide Squad #16 – My Rating: 5/5

Action Comics #978 – My Rating: 5/5

Supergirl: Being Super #3 (of 4) – My Rating: 4/5

Supergirl 2.18: “Ace Reporter” – My Rating: 4/5

…and my pick of the month is…  ACTION COMICS!!!

Dan Jurgens and Patrick Zircher are at their respective career bests right now, and the same could be said for Peter J. Tomasi, Patrick Gleason, Steve Orlando, and pretty much everyone on the pages of the current Superman books.  And how about General Zod as part of the Suicide Squad?  It’s an exciting time to be a fan of the Man of Steel.  What were your favorite releases this month?  Let us know in the comments section or on social media.  Until then, we’ll see you at the end of May for another thrilling installment of Super Sunday!
