Happy Super Sunday! And welcome back to Comic Booked’s second longest-running column! Each major Superman-related release is listed at the end of each and every week and the comics, shows, graphic novels, movies, events, etc. you CANNOT MISS are listed in bold. Here are this week’s releases:
- Batman/Superman #6
- Red Hood: Outlaw #42
- Shazam! #10
- Superman #19
- Wonder Woman #750
- Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen #2 (of 4)
- CW: Supergirl
- DC Universe: DC Daily
- DC Universe: Harley Quinn
And My Pick of the Week: BATMAN/SUPERMAN!!!
This week had some great Superman goodies. Supergirl’s new status quo post-Crisis is giving us some fun Lex Luthor shenanigans. Hell Arisen is all-out war between DC’s two biggest villains right now. And Brian Michael Bendis continues to drop some clues of things not quite being what they seem in the pages of Superman. (Look at the Justice League’s table, if you want a prime example.) Speaking of things to come. And “prime examples.” If you haven’t figured out why Shazam! was on this week’s Super Sunday, you need to pick up Geoff Johns’ newest issue. And how anyone could be passing up on Joshua Williamson’s Batman/Superman is beyond me, but the uneasy alliance at the end of this issue should be enough to boost sales even higher than they already are. But what are your thoughts on this week’s Superman-related releases? Hit me up on Twitter at jeffhillwriter and let’s get the debate going. See you next Super Sunday!
