Super Sunday: Superman in May 2017

SuperSunday

Happy Super Sunday, Superman fans!  The Superman books are great.  The Supergirl show is fantastic (albeit on summer hiatus now).  And there are a couple of movies headed our way that will also be…  dare I say it…  Super.  Here are my thoughts on this month’s Superman-related releases:

Justice League #20 – My Rating: 4/5

Superman #22 – My Rating: 5/5

DC Comics Bombshells #26 – My Rating: 4/5

Supergirl 2.19: “Alex” – My Rating: 5/5

Red Hood and the Outlaws #10 – My Rating: 4.5/5

Suicide Squad #17 – My Rating: 5/5

Action Comics #979 – My Rating: 5/5

New Super-Man #11 – My Rating: 4.5/5

Supergirl #9 – My Rating: 4.5/5

Superwoman #10 – My Rating: 3/5

Supergirl 2.20: “City of Lost Children” – My Rating: 4/5

The Flash #22 – My Rating: 5/5

Justice League #21 – My Rating: 3.5/5

Superman #23 – My Rating: 5/5

Super Sons #4 – My Rating: 5/5

Trinity #9 – My Rating: 4/5

DC Comics Bombshells #27 – My Rating: 4/5

Justice League / Power Rangers #4 (of 6) – My Rating: 3/5

Supergirl 2.21: “Resist” – My Rating: 4/5

DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games DVD – My Rating: 4.5/5

Suicide Squad #18 – My Rating: 5/5

Action Comics #980 – My Rating: 5/5

Supergirl 2.22: “Nevertheless, She Persisted” – My Rating: 4/5

…and my pick of the month is…  ACTION COMICS!!!

Action Comics is the best of all worlds.  We’ve got the 1990s back (in a good way, mullet-free and all) with Dan Jurgens and the best bad guys ever in Action Comics.  Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason are absolutely nailing the 2000s with the pre-Flashpoint goodness in Superman.  And Suicide Squad is really thrilling now that JRJR is gone and Zod is on the roster.  What were your favorite Superman releases this month?  Let us know in the comments or on social media.  We’re dying to hear your thoughts.  See you next month for another thrilling adventure in Superman history with Super Sunday!
