Red Sonja once again finds herself rifting through time in a hellish time warp. Transported into a jungle world, a cat-like beast greets her with fangs barred and claws ripping in the air. The time warp closes as quickly as it opens, taking with it the beast as it charges mercilessly at the She-Devil.
Icy Hot Jungle!
Saved by the disappearing rift, she turns around to be greeted by Jana, the Jungle Girl wielding a sword similar to Sonja’s sword graciously bestowed on her by a bald mystery man. Irony of ironies proves this same bald man gave Jungle Girl hers as well…. The mystery and plot thickens after this revelation.
After mending their relationship began by trying to murder each other, Red Sonja and Jungle Girl work together to delve into the mystery of why the jungle is slowly freezing and dying. As they find unwelcomed visitors in the jungle mercilessly killing random animals and jungle folk, the She-Devil and Jana, her new bae, encounter Mistress Hel and it all breaks loose!
SOS: Red Sonja & Jungle Girl #1 story line is exciting and fast paced with fantastic coloring. Great job (Marguerite Bennett and Mirka Andolfo) keeping the flow of mysteriously mesmeric mavens of mayhem interesting!
