The DC Cinematic Universe has been causing some, umm, waves recently. (Sorry. Couldn’t help it.) So it should come as no surprise that when the folks in charge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe releases a movie poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron, that Warner Bros. would want to one-up Disney. And that they decidedly did.
So who is going to lead the Suicide Squad from behind the scenes? And who will be controlling the fate of the DCCU? Who will follow the sassy footsteps of Angela Basset?
Two-time Academy Award-nominee Viola Davis will be Amanda “The Wall” Waller. Perfect, albeit out-of-left-field casting. Nothing is too random, as Entertainment Weekly and Variety reported that Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, and pretty much every single casting of the post-Man of Steel movie franchise world is seemingly up for grabs. But this marks some serious star power for the Suicide Squad, due in 2016.
But what do you think? Is Ms. Davis a good fit for the role? Or is she a GREAT fit for the role? (Trick question.)
