Cheyenne Comic Con‘s innagural convention happened 13-15 May, 2016 in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the Little America Hotel & Resort. Attendance was through the roof with panels, guests, celebs, music and cosplay on fleek!
Con creators and coordinators brought amazing cosplay guests to Wyoming, including Marie-Claude Bourbonnais, Danny & Heather Kelley, IBOTks, Kristi Kai, Nicole Marie Jean, Jennifer Van Damsel,DC Doll, Dezcreepcore and so many more. Cosplayers were out and about, mingling and providing fab entertainment while looking absolutely gorgeous! These professional folks were incredible! It was super exciting to see attendee cosplay with game on, ready to represent their favorite genre, comics, gamer play or Anime fav!
Cheyenne cosplay varied in genre from Anime to Lobo, Marvel to DC with TV and movie characters rounding out the costume presence. A Star Trek simulator ran almost all night throughout the weekend with games, computers, panels and talks happening non-stop. Everyone was pumped with awesome celebs like Manu Bennett, Ryan Hurst, Kristin Bauer, Ernie Hudson, Naomi Grossman and so many others. Manu is the nicest celeb ever, taking time to talk with fans, listening to them with sincere, genuine interest and a down-to-earth attitude that pretty much made everyone melt.
Comic artists, writers and publishers like Scott Shaw, Steve Pulawa, Kip Mussat, Brent Fairchild, Salvagers, Geof Isherwood, Bob Salley and so many other talented guests were available for commissions, autographs and answering fans questions.
This convention was so much fun, it felt sad when the end came and doors closed for the year. C32016 was a well run con, feeling fresh and exciting yet meticulously planned, organized and maneuvered, this con gets a 4.3 out of 5 thumbs up.
Close to Denver? Never saw Wyoming? Well… keep eyes on Cheyenne Comic Cons event page for upcoming info on plans for next year. Denver is a great landing point reasonably priced airfares are easily found, and from Denver Internationalthere it’s only an 1-1.5 hour drive to Cheyenne (completely worth it).
See you in 2017!
