Baturday: Convergence Week 4

Baturday

Well, Convergence was interrupted by three “New 52” titles and the Free Comic Book Day issue of Divergence, and Gotham is spiraling out of control and headed to next week’s season one finale.  Then there’s that shock ending for Batman this week… probably one of the most genuine surprises in my entire comic-reading history.  And it’s…  ahem…  no joke.  Speaking of jokes: We got a glimpse of the new Suicide Squad Jared Leto Joker and it’s terrifyingly different than what we were expecting.  And a little guy named Frank Miller is returning to the character that made him immortal in the near-ish future, which is pretty dang neat.  But with all of the great stuff coming our way, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.  Here’s the week’s Batman (and other DC) related titles, as reviewed by yours truly:

Convergence: Detective Comics #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 4/5

Convergence: Action Comics #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5

…and my pick of the week…and let me tell you, it was damn near impossible to choose…is (like you even had to guess)…  BATMAN!!!

So there you have it.  A CRAZY week.  A giant week.  An expensive week.  But a monumental and future-altering week, as well!  But enough of my rantings and ravings and praisings.  What was your favorite DC release this week?  (Other than Batman, of course.)  I want to know.  Start a dialogue or a fight in the comments section below.  And be back here early next weekend for another thrilling installment of Baturday!
